Young Africans SC are through to the final of the NMB Mapinduzi Cup 2026.

Congolese import Maxi Nzengeli netted the lone goal after 54 minutes to ensure Young Africans SC defeated Singida Black Stars FC 1-0 in a match played at the New Amaan Stadium on Friday.

Nzengeli capitalized on a well taken Pacome Zouzoua cross to finish in style and send the fans wild in celebration.

The CECAFA Kagame Cup reigning champions Singida Black Stars FC tried to fight back to find goals, but failed to beat the well organized Young Africans SC defending line.

The two teams had a player sent off with Young Africans SC’s Mohamed Damaro and Singida Black Stars FC defender Morice Chukwu having to visit the dressing room much earlier.

Young Africans SC will face Azam FC in the NMB Mapinduzi Cup 2026 on January 13^th at the Gombani Stadium in Pemba.

The competition attracted 10 teams including guest side Uganda Revenue Authority FC.
