The national team Zanzibar Heroes will host Uganda Cranes in an international friendly match on June 11th. The Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) has included Zanzibar in the CECAFA U-17 Women’s Championship 2026. “Although Zanzibar had been drawn, after consultations it was decided Zanzibar are placed in Group B to make four teams and we are happy to have them,” says the CECAFA Manager of Competitions, Yusuf Mossi.
