Singida Black Stars win, Fufuni, KVZ pick draws in NMB Mapinduzi Cup

Singida Black Stars FC made a winning start in the NMB Mapinduzi Cup 2026 on Sunday.

The Tanzania Premier League side defeated Mlandege FC 3-1 in a Grup A match played at the New Amaan Stadium.

Idriss Diomande, Joseph Guede Gnadou and and Emmanuel Kwame Keyekeh scored for Singida Black Stars, while Said Matola picked the lone goal for Mlandege FC.

In the matches played on Monday home side Fufuni SC collected a 1-1 draw against Muembe Makumbi in a Group B match, while KVZ FC also drew 1-1 against URA United FC.

Action continues on Wednesday with two matches on card. Mlandege FC will be hoping to get their campaign back on track when they face Uganda Revenue Authority FC.

Singida Black Stars FC will also line-up against record Mapinduzi Cup winners Azam FC.

The tournament was created to commemorate Zanzibar’s Revolution day which is marked annually on January 12th.

Group A: Mlandege, Azam FC, Singida Black Stars, URA FC

Group B: Simba SC, Muembe Makumbi City FC, Fufuni SC

Group C: Young Africans SC, KVZ FC, TRA United SC
