Azam FC stand in KMKM’s TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup way

Zanzibar representatives KMKM SC will face Singida Black Stars FC in the second preliminary round of the 2025/2026 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup.

To reach the second round, KMKM SC ejected AS Port (Djibouti) 4-2 on aggregate, while Tanzania Premier League side Azam FC eliminated El Merriekh Bentiu (South Sudan) 4-0 on aggregate.

KMKM SC will host the first leg October 17-19 at the New Amaan Stadium, while the Azam FC handled by Florent Ibenge host the return leg October 24-26th.

The winner of the second preliminary round over two rounds will automatically advance to the group stage which will have 15 other teams that would have qualified.

Ahmed Is-haka, the KMKM SC captain has made it clear that they are determined as a team to continue working hard to win the next matches.

“We are happy to qualify for the next stage, but we know we have a lot of work to do because our target is to qualify for the group stage,” added the KMKM captain.

The other teams in the CECAFA Zone that will be in action in the second preliminary round will see Dekedaha FC (Somalia), Nairobu United FC (Kenya), Singida Black Stars FC (Tanzania) and Burundi’s Flambeau du Centre.
