Azam Football Club will be in action this evening against Meli 4 City in the fourth match at the on-going Mapinduzi Cup 2022 in Zanzibar.

Fresh from losing 2-1 to rivals Simba SC in the NBC Tanzania Premier League, Azam FC is expected to come all out to try and make a good start in the competition.

But before Azam FC take to the field at the Amaan Stadium, Namungo FC will face Yosso Boys FC in another Group A match.

Namungo FC opend the tournament with a 2-1 win against Meli 4 City on Sunday, while Zanzibari sides Selem View FC and Mlandege SC settled for a goalless draw on Monday in a Group C match. Later KMKM Sc defeated Taifa Jang’ombe 2-1 in the last Group B match played on Monday.

Ten teams are taking part in the Mapinduzi Cup 2022 which is organised  by the government of Zanzibar and the Zanzibar Football Federation (ZFF).
