The national team Zanzibar Heroes will host Uganda Cranes in an international friendly match on June 11^th.

Hussein Ahmada Vuai, the General Secretary of the Zanzibar Football Federation (ZFF) confirmed the development on Sunday.

“We are delighted that the national team will have the opportunity to play an International friendly match against Uganda on Thursday. We call upon all fans to come in big numbers to support the team,” added Ahmada Vuai.

The match which will also mark the ZFF centenary celebrations will take place at the New Amaan Stadium on Thursday night.

The Uganda Cranes, the best ranked team in the CECAFA region was meant to play two International friendly matches against Tanzania and Rwanda in Morocco, but the matches were cancelled because of health issues.
