KVZ, KMKM exit CAF competitions in preliminary stage
Zanzibar representatives KVZ FC and KMKM SC have been eliminated in the first preliminary round in the different CAF competitions.
After falling 1-0 in the first leg of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League, KVZ suffered a 3-0 home defeat to Asswelhy from Egypt at the New Amaan Stadium on September 13th.
The Egyptian side scored through John Otto John, Mohammad Sola and Zaf Abdu Khatwa. KVZ FC bowed out on a 4-0 goal aggregate.
Zanzibar’s representatives in the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup KMKM SC also bowed out on a 7-0 goal aggregate to Libya’s Al Ahly Tripoli.
