Table leaders KVZ FC failed to increase their lead on the 2025/2026 PBZ Premier League falling 1-0 to Fufuni FC in a match played on Wednesday evening at the Mao B Stadium.

The win sent Fufuni FC to second place to 18 points from 10 matches played. KVZ FC remain top of the log with 22 points with the same number of matches played.

In the other matches played on Wednesday New King FC stopped New Stone Town FC 3-1, while Chipukizi FC also collected a 1-0 win against Kipanga FC.

Former champions Mlandege FC now in 8^th place will return to action on Thursday against 4^th placed Uhamiaji FC.
