The President of the Zanzibar Football Federation (ZFF), Suleiman Mahmoud Jabir is set to attend the non-elective General Assembly of the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) in Juba, South Sudan.

CECAFA announced that the Assembly will take place in the capital of Sudan Sudan pn January 22nd, 2025.

The Assembly which will bring together two representatives from the 12 Member Associations will take place at the Raddison Blu Hotel. Hussein Ahmada, the ZFF General Secretary is also expected to attend the Assembly.  

The members will discuss the CECAFA competitions for 2024 and the 2025-2026 calendar among other things.

Wallace Karia, who is also the President of the Tanzania Football Federation (TFF) is the CECAFA President.

The 12 members of CECAFA include Zanzibar, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Burundi, Eritrea, Somalia, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Rwanda, South Sudan and Sudan.
