The Zanzibar Queens have suffered a 1-0 defeat to South Sudan in their opening Group B match at the on-going CECAFA U-17 Women’s Championship.
After a goalless draw in the first half, South Sudan capitalized on a defensive mix up to score through Amou Seber after 78 minutes.
Zanzibar Qeens tried to fight back strongly but failed to find the target. Aziza Hamadi and Mariam Hussein had opportunities for Zanzibar, but missed the target.

“We need to go back and reorganize well ahead of our next two group matches,” added Khamis.
