Seven tournaments will be staged by the Council of East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) in 2026.

CECAFA has already opened the bidding process for the seven tournaments that were passed during the Elective General Assembly held on February 7^th, 2026 in Djibouti.

“We have opened the bidding process which opened on February 13^th and closes February 27^th,” said the CECAFA Competitions Director, Yusuf Mossi.

The season will kick off with the CECAFA U-17 Girls Championship from May 30 to June 14^th. CECAFA hopes to stage the inaugural CECAFA Beach Soccer Championship July 1- 5^th.

The Club tournament CECAFA Kagame Cup is planned for July 18 to August 9^th, while the CAF Women’s Champions League  CECAFA Qualifiers follows from August 22 to September 6^th.

The CAF African Schools Football Championship – CECAFA qualifiers will later take place from August 12-15^th, while the Under 20 AFCON CECAFA qualifiers will be staged September 19 to October 10^th. The U-17 AFCON CECAFA qualifiers will close the season October 17-31^st.
