Muembe Makumbi City FC have maintained their lead in the 2024/2025 PBZ Premier League.

The League under the Zanzibar Football Federation (ZFF) resumed on April 10^th, 2025 after a break.

Muembe Makumbi City FC defeated Inter Zanzibar 1-0 in a match played on April 12^th at the Mau Sentung Stadium.

Mudrik Mubibu netted the lone goal to ensure his team picked maximum points and stretch their lead to 44 points from 21 matches played.

Second placed Mlandege FC failed to close the gap as they suffered a 4-2 defeat to JKU SC, while Mafunzo FC’s 2-1 win against Mwenge FC saw them move to third place with 38 points.

In the other matches played KVZ FC stopped Zimamoto FC 2-1 to move into fourth place, while former champions KMKM FC humbled bottom placed Tekeleza FC 3-0.

Malindi SC also recorded a 2-0 win against Junguni United, while Chipukizi United stopped New City FC 3-1.
