New Amaan Stadium to host Young Africans, Azam FC, Singida Black Stars CAF group ties

Three teams from the Tanzania Premier League have selected the New Amaan Stadium to host their matches in the group stages of the 2025/2026 CAF competitions.
Hussein Ahmada Vuai, the Secretary General of the Zanzibar Football Federation (ZFF) has confirmed that Young Africans SC, Azam FC and Singida Black Stars FC have received official clearance to use the New Amaan Stadium.
Young Africans SC, the Tanzania Premier League reigning champions will play all their group matches in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League, while Azam FC and Singida Black Stars FC play their group matches of the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup at the New Amaan Stadium.
Vuai made it clear that having these kind of matches will give the fans an opportunity witness high-level continental Football which in-turn might motivate the youngsters.
“We thank the Revolutionary Government of Zanzibar under the leadership of President Hussein Ali Mwinyi for investing in Sports infrastructure and other key development sectors. “This is a huge opportunity for Zanzibar because it will also bring a lot of Football loving tourists,” he added.
The New Amaan Stadium has hosted high profile competitions like the CAF Schools Football African Championship, the CAF Confederations Cup final and the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN) among others.
