Zanzibar Heroes prepare to face Nigeria’s CHAN team in friendly ties

The national team Zanzibar Heroes has kicked off training ahead of two international friendly matches against Nigeria.

Hussein Ahmada Vuai, the Zanzibar Football Federation (ZFF) General Secretary disclosed that national team will play two matches against Nigeria on July 28th and July 31st in Zanzibar.

“We are very lucky to have the opportunity for our national team to play Nigeria’s team that will participate in the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship 2024,” added Vual. The Zanzibar team will be handled by Ali Suleiman Haji Mtuli.

Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda will co-host the CHAN competition from August 2-30th. Nigeria will be based in Zanzibar in Group D that also has Sudan, Congo Brazzaville and title holders Senegal.
