Three Zanzibar officials attend CAF Match Commissioner’s Workshop

Three officials from the Zanzibar Football Federation (ZFF) attended a CAF Match Commissioner’s Workshop that was ushering in a panel for the 2026-2027 cycle.
The workshops organized in four different groups placed using the geographical and linguistic criteria took place April 13-27th at the headquarters of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) in Egypt.
The three officials included; Mbarouk Suleiman Othman, Ramadhani Rajabu Ibada and Dalila Jaffar Mtwana.
The workshops equipped the newly appointed Match Commissioners and old ones with essential operational knowledge, regulatory guidance and practical training required to perform their duties effectively within the CAF competition environment.
The role of the Match Commissioner remains central to the successful organisation and management of CAF fixtures, ensuring that matches are conducted in full accordance with CAF regulations and international football standards.
Their responsibilities include supervising overall match organisation, ensuring compliance with competition regulations, coordinating with stadium authorities and local organising structures, and overseeing the correct implementation of operational procedures among other things.
“It was a very insightful workshop and we learnt a lot of things,” said Othman.
